New on the Learning Curve:
- Unlocking Archives
The National Archives has joined forces with the South East Grid for Learning, English Heritage and the British Film Institute to deliver a powerful new combination of archival materials for schools. Unlocking Archives is a project that encourages teachers to combine different types of archival material for pupils to use in class. Phase 1 is now online giving access to three investigations for the History and Citizenship classroom at key stages 2, 3 and 4.
- Our latest podcasts
It's pistols at dawn in the latest episode of our Past Masters podcast. The team look at what survives in the Archives from these risky and generally highly illegal fights and find out what happens to the winners and losers of a duel. En garde!

- Help fight the Great Fire!
Take a look at this fabulous new website for Key Stage 1 pupils and teachers. The website was created by the Museum of London in partnership with The National Archives, London Fire Brigade Museum, National Portrait Gallery and London Metropolitan Archives. It tells the story of the Great Fire of London in an engaging interactive way with activities and games. There are also opportunities to explore how we know about the Great Fire through museum objects, documents and paintings.
Make sure you have sound on your PC to hear the animation.
