And it is further ordered by this Court That the said Sheriff do
cause Thomas Savage who hath been convicted by this Court of Forgery to
stand in
the Pillory in Congleton in the said County on Saturday the Eighth day
of this Instant
October from the Hour of one to the Hour of Two o'Clock in the afternoon
of the same
Day and afterwards on the same day to be stript naked from the middle
upwards
and whipt after the usual manner from the Markett Cross to Deane Bridge
in
Congleton aforesaid and afterwards to be delivered to the Keeper of the
House of
Correction at Middlewich in the said County to be by him carryed before
a Justice
of the Peace for the said County and sent by a Pass as a Vagrant to the
Place of
his Settlement.
